The steps of the chain producing process:
As a key mechanical power transmission element, chain undergoes multiple critical steps during its production process to ensure the quality, strength and durability of the final product. The following is the typical production process of the chain:
Select the raw materials required for chain production, which mainly include carbide and carbon steel. Carbide has high strength and wear resistance, but the cost is relatively high; carbon steel has a low cost, but has relatively poor hardness and wear resistance. Choose appropriate raw materials based on usage requirements and cost considerations.
Design and make chain molds, taking into account factors such as chain thickness, structure, and working intensity. Molds often use seamless steel pipes, steel plates and other materials to ensure accuracy, hardness and durability.
The heated raw materials are fed into the mold, and the chain is formed into its basic shape through cold heading. Continuous cold heading can improve the accuracy and dimensional stability of the chain, but it also increases production costs.
Heat treatment is used to improve hardness, strength and wear resistance. The common process includes quenching and tempering, helping the chain maintain stable mechanical properties under repeated working load.
According to the application environment, chains can use blackening, nickel plating, chrome plating, oiling and other surface treatments to improve corrosion resistance and service appearance.
After component processing, chain plates, rollers, pins and bushings are assembled. Final product quality inspection is performed to ensure that the chain meets the design specifications.
