The production and processing of gears is a highly technical process,with the main steps including:
Design: Precise gear design is the first step in manufacturing,which requires consideration of parameters such as gear shape,number of teeth,module,etc.to meet specific application requirements.Most of the gears produced by our company are produced based on customer's design drawings or samples.If customers need,we can also provide design services.
Material selection: According to the use environment,select appropriate metals,alloys,or plastics,such as steel,stainless steel,copper,aluminum,plastic,etc.,as the materials for gears.
Processing method: Cutting is the main processing method,the tooth shape of gears can be processed to predetermined specifications and accuracy through processes such as gear milling,gear shaping,gear shaving,and gear hobbing.We can also provide powder metallurgy and injection molding processes for gear production according to customer requirements.
Heat treatment: After the gear is cutted,heat treatment will be done according to product requirements to improve its hardness and wear resistance,and ensure that the gear is not easily worn out during long-term use.Gears produced by injection molding or gears made of plastic materials do not need to be heat treated
Tooth surface grinding: In order to improve the accuracy of gears,tooth surface grinding technology is used to make the tooth surface of gears smoother and reduce friction losses.
